Preparing for childbirth encompasses more than just physical readiness; it involves nurturing the mind and body for the transformative journey ahead. Enter Calmbirth, a program designed to empower expectant parents with the tools and mindset necessary for a calm and positive birthing experience. Founded by midwife and educator Peter Jackson, Calmbirth integrates evidence-based research with mindfulness, relaxation, and breathwork techniques to equip couples for childbirth.
Participants in the Calmbirth program learn various techniques, from breathing exercises to visualization strategies, to manage pain, reduce anxiety, and promote relaxation during labour. Moreover, the program delves into the psychological aspect of childbirth, helping individuals address their fears and expectations while fostering a sense of trust in their bodies' abilities.

In person classes
Classes run from my dedicated Calmbirth studio in Albert Park. Limited to five couples to personalise your birth preparation as much as possible.
Light refreshments will be provided. Please bring a water bottle, pillow if desired and wear comfortable clothes.
